Baked Bassar Wings

Baked Bassar Wings!

I was given some home made Bassar mix to try. I used that mix to try this oven baked dish.

The mix was used predominantly with few other additions. I thought it will hopefully showcase the Bassar flavour and what the flavours and taste is cooked.

It was really yummy and defo one I will make for friends visiting to have with drinks!
I really hope you will try it yourselves.
This little experiment turned out 👌👌😍

You can use whichever Bassar you have, failing that just use a good Curry Powder mix as substitute. There is a short video clip I will upload in another post.

All measurements using level measuring spoons and cup.

Ingredients:

1 kg chicken wings with skin on split into niblets
1 med onion
Half cup ready made shop bought fried onions
Quarter cup oil, I added tbsp mustard oil to the cup
2 tbsp dried methi
1 tsp ginger
4 cloves garlic
3 green fresh chillies
4 tbsp Shai and Roni homemade Bassar powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp kashmiri chilli
1 tbsp fresh coriander
2 chillies thinly sliced
2 tsp salt
4 tbsp yogurt.

Blend the onion, 3 green chillies, ginger, garlic into paste.
Mix all the ingredients with yogurt, then with wings.
Place in oven dish and in hot 200 deg Celsius oven.

Cook stirring every 5 mins to 7 mins.
The oil will surface, stir well and take spices off the sides and mix in.
Place back in the oven and continue doing so stirring occasionally until spices have a lovely cooked flavour and niblets are cooked. Approx 30 mins.

Serve as finger liking solo or with pitta strips or Pulao rice.

They went down a treat at ours! Seriously good!
