This simple salad recipe that just needs some onions goes well with everything.
Out of the many salads this is neither tasking or laborious to put together and make but certainly abundant in flavour and taste!
What you need is to have your onions sliced into rings. Ensure that onions are full circle so that when you cut them into slices, about 3 to 4 mm width so that they hold shape when you mix them but thin enough to not look bulky.
The seasoning is key. Its what elevates it. Adjust seasonings to your palate but start with the measurements given.
3 fresh green chillies chopped
1 Red Onion
Juice of half a fresh lemon
2 pinches of salt
1/4 tsp of Amchoor
1/4 tsp of Chaat Masala
1/4 tsp of Black pepper
1 tsp Chilli powder
Small handfull of fresh coriander
Slice both your onions into rings as above.
Now finely mince 2 to 3 green chilies.
Separate your onions to single rings rings.
Combine your sliced onions and chillies together in a bowl.
Now add to the onions
red chilli powder.
Half the juice of a lemon.
Mix all ingredients in well.
Lastly add a small handful of fresh chopped coriander and your salad is ready to serve.
Serve with barbecues, curries or grills!
