Mooli and carrot bhaja

Another simple and quick dish that goes well as a side to any meal! Mooli and carrot bhaja.

Bhaja always goes well as an accompaniment with Dal in a bengali meal. You can enjoy just on its own too!

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 large mooli diced into small cubes.
2 carrots diced into small cubes
1 onion sliced.
2 green chillies sliced.
1 tsp turmeric.
Salt and pinch of pepper and sugar.
4 tbsp of Veg Oil.

METHOD:

Heat your oil hot, add all the ingredients. Stir well and cook covered on med stirring occasionally till the carrots and mooli are almost cooked and onions are opaque and soft.

Uncover, raise heat and fry stirring gently till you get colour and caramelisation.
When you start getting crispy edges and some browning and carrots/mooli cooked through, serve it hot!

Tips:

Use globe radish sliced in half or breakfast radish in quarters instead of mooli.

Mix up your veg, try parsnips, cauliflower or broccoli as alternatives to mix it up.
